Biography

He played for the Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals and Hartford Whalers.

Originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs organization in the 1975 NHL Entry Draft, he was traded almost right away to the Canadiens.

Doug Jarvis is the NHL’s record holder with 964 consecutive games played.

He won the Stanley Cup four times as a player (with Montreal in 1976, 1977, 1978, and 1979) and one as an assistant coach (with Dallas in 1999).

Jarvis now serves as assistant coach of the Boston Bruins.
