Biography

Donovan was selected 28th overall in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft by the Sharks and went on to make his NHL debut in 1994-95.

The Timmins, Ontario native was dealt to the Calgary Flames at the trading deadline in 2003. Upon his arrival with Calgary, Shean went on to break through with a career high 42 points (18-24-42) while helping the Flames reach the Stanley Cup Final, only to fall short in a hard-fought seven-game series against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

On the international stage Donovan is was a gold medallist with Canada at the 1995 World Junior Championships and a gold medallist at the the 1997 World Championships.
