Biography
He is a left winger who played for the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Dallas Stars and the Colorado Avalanche.
He was selected in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins.
In 1988 he signed as a free agent with the Toronto Maple Leafs. After three seasons in Toronto, he returned to Boston and played there for the next five seasons.
He signed with the Dallas Stars in 1996 and helped the Stars win their first Stanley Cup in 1999.
He then signed with the Colorado Avalanche, where he spent the last two years of his NHL career.
In 2001, he won his second Stanley cup with Colorado.
He finished his career with 961 NHL games, 165 goals, and 204 assists for a total of 369 points.
On May 4th, 2010 Dave Reid was hired as the new General Manager of the OHL’s Peterborough Petes.
