Dennis Hull lands on the hot seat as NHL Alumni and renowned comedians drop their gloves  and grab the mic for the Roast Of Dennis Hull in support of Camp Maple Leaf

The Highline Hall at the Wellington and District Community Centre turns up the heat for The Roast of Dennis Hull, Saturday September 22nd, 2018 in support of Camp Maple Leaf. Join us for an evening full of laughs as beloved former NHLers and renowned comedians drop their gloves and grab the microphone to take comedic jabs against one of Belleville’s beloved hometown hero’s and former Chicago Blackhawk Dennis Hull. Dennis Hull was a 5 time NHL All-Star with almost 1000 games played in the NHL totaling 303 goals and 351assists. Dennis also had the honor of playing for Team Canada during the historic 1972 Summit Series vs the Soviet Union.

The Roast of Dennis Hull features an exciting blend of standup comedy, live entertainment and nostalgia to truly make this a night to remember for fans. The event also gives fans the unique opportunity to mix and mingle with former NHLers away from the ice in a more intimate setting and to see a lighter side of these hockey greats that was typically hidden while fiercely competing against each other on the ice.

Camp Maple Leaf (www.campmapleleaf.net) Camp Maple Leaf is more than a summer camp. Located on a 104 acre island in the Kawarthas, it is a place rich in adventure, fun and restorative powers. Camp Maple Leaf is a registered charity with programming that promotes the development of self-confidence, self-esteem, problem solving skills, leadership and conflict resolution. Since its establishment in 1955 by the Canadian Council of War Veterans, over 30,000 underprivileged children, and children of military families, have enjoyed the transformative experience that only summer camp and Camp Maple Leaf can provide.
