Right winger Greg Johnston was a fine scorer and playmaker who was a solid part-time player for the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs. He proved to be effective in the minor leagues and later starred in the German league.
The native of Barrie, Ontario played with the junior B Colts before joining the OHLâ€™s Toronto Marlboros. Johnston recorded 160 points in three junior seasons and was chosen 42nd overall by the Boston Bruins in the 1983 Entry Draft. He also scored two goals for Canada when they won the gold medal at the 1985 World Junior Championships.
