(February 19th, 2018 – Thunder Bay) – The Fort William Gardens will play host to the NHL Alumni for Family Day in Thunder Bay on Monday February 19th, 2018!

Scotiabank proudly presents the 2018 NHL Alumni Benefit Tour featuring NHL legends from Stanley Cup winning teams, classic original 6 hockey teams and local former NHLers representing your hometown all in support of Special Olympics Ontario and the Law Enforcement Torch Run! The NHL Alumni Tour has proudly hosted hockey legends such as Walter Gretzky, Wendel Clark, Curtis Joseph, Tiger Williams, Theo Fleury and many more!

The Scotiabank NHL Alumni Benefit Tour gives fans a unique experience and an evening to remember that showcases top shelf hockey skills, on ice pranks and old fashioned hockey nostalgia. This great evening provides something for fans of all ages and gives you an exciting opportunity to see a lighter side of these hockey greats while raising money for a great cause.

The Scotiabank NHL Alumni Benefit Tour supports the Special Olympics and Law Enforcement Torch Run’s mission “To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities.” Join us for a special night as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Law Enforcement Torch Run Ontario!

Doors open at 1:00PM, game starts at 2:00pm at the Fort William Gardens, 901 Miles Street, Thunder Bay, ON.

During his time in the AHL he won the top goaltender award on two occasions and a Calder Cup with the Adirondack Red Wings
During his NHL career he played for Detroit, Philadelphia, Ottawa and the Toronto Maple Leafs

Our game official for tonight was an aggressive defenseman that played 11 seasons in the NHL with Los Angeles, Chicago, New Jersey and the Toronto Maple Leafs racking up over 1700 penalty minutes during his pro career
Owen Nolan

Owen Nolan

At 18- year NHL veteran, he was the captain for the San Jose Sharkes. Born in Northern Ireland, he won gold for Canada in the Olympics. He is widely known as a power forward.

Bryan Muir

He played his collegiate hockey at the University of New Hampshire.
He was a solid defenceman that 12 seasons in the NHL and in 2001 he won a Stanley Cup alongside Ray Bourque as a member of the Colorado avalanche

Denny Lambert

He was a fiery winger with a rugged style of play. As an unsigned free agent he relied o his tireless work ethic to achieve his dream of playing in the NHL where he played close to 500 games for Anaheim, Ottawa , Nashville and Atlanta.

Mike Krushelnyski

He played 15 years in the NHL with the Bruins, Oilers, Leafs, Kings and Red Wings
He is an NHL All-Star and a 3 time Stanley Cup Champion with the Edmonton Oilers
Jay Wells

Jay Wells

He was nicknamed “The Hammer” for his tough, physical play. He Played for LA Kings, Tampa Bay, Buffalo Sabres and Philadephalia Flyers and won a Stanley cup with the New York Rangers in 94.

Dennis Maruk

He is a two time NHL and the first Washington Capitals player to achieve 100 points in a season
He was known as a pure goal scorer which is evident by his 60 goal season with the Capitals in 1982

He was a speedy forward with a strong scoring ability
He is a two time 40-goal scorer and was a solid contributor during Stanley Cup with the Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens
